Glam Polish: Cloud Atlas and a Water Marble Accent!

Hi Guys!

Recently I decided to take on the incredibly challenging, but oh so pretty,  water marbling! My end results were far, far, far from perfect, but I think with some practice and work at it I could get the hang of it, and besides, even my "meh" results I still loved!

I played it safe, and only did one nail on each hand, since going into this I figured it would be challenging, (and I wasn't wrong, haha )  I paired it with the absolutely gorgeous Cloud Atlas by Glam Polish.  and did a gradient on my pinky, using the same colours I water marbled with, anyway, enough rambling, let's show off my first water marble!

Clearly, my water marbling skills need some work, but I think for a first try at this technique, it isn't THAT bad! :P  I like the effect enough, and it wasn't a total nightmare to achieve, which is good, cause I have read and heard from some, that is can be when it comes to water marbling.  Overall because of the gorgeous colours, and that Glam Polish shade, I still love these nails, and I will certainly be trying this technique again.

Now, What colours did I use to get my meh water marble, and my pretty gradient!? Well, that pretty blue colour is Lime Crime Once in a Blue Mouse, and the purple is Essie Play Date (which btw I use more then any other purple and I love, love, love) the pink is OPI Pinking of You, from the 2013 Breast Cancer awareness release, and the white is OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, which is the best white ever, and sadly very very hard to find, since OPI no longer makes it, and it was limited release. If you do manage to find a bottle, grab it up, you won't be sorry! I, myself have 2 backup bottles, one, I managed to snag from Winners, and one from my local Beauty Supply store.

Alright Guys and Gals, I think that is mostly it for today, one thing I just NEED to share before I go though, I recently applied to nail school, with the hopes of being able to do this as a career, and this morning I found out I will in fact be attending school! I am pretty excited about this, and can't wait to share all the ups and downs with you guys!

Till next time Kittens! <3

ILNP Nostalgia: Swatch and Review

Heya Guys!

Happy Friday! Anyone have any awesome weekend plans?? I don't have anything yet, but hopefully I will before the weekend is out! Today, I am going to be showing off another ILNP polish, this one is Nostalgia.  It is an amazing ulta-chrome polish, that glides onto the nail beautifully, with almost no effort on my part. I have only worn two polishes from this brand, but I can already say I am a huge fan of the ILNP brand.

Alright guys and gals, let's take a look..

Nostalgia's shifts are insane, seriously, as you can see from the photos above it can almost look like an entirely different polish, depending on the light and how you angle your hand. It mostly sits in the burgundy/green/gold colour, but I wanted to include the last photo to really show off how it looks at extreme angels!

As an added bonus it is wearing  really well. I am on day 3 of wearing this polish,  and I still don't have any chips or any tip wear, although  I did recently switch to HK girl top coat, and I have to say the life of my mani's seemed to have doubled since I started using it. It has become my HG top coat. If you haven't tried HK Girl yet, I highly highly recommend checking it out!

Overall I think this polish is a serious must have for any polish fan, and especially any duochrome/ulta-chrome fan, there is nothing to not love about this polish and so much to love! So, if you don't own this yet, you should!

Alright, guys and gals, I think that covers it for today, and I really hope everyone has an amazing weekend. Till next time Kittens!

ILNP Cygnus Loop - Swatches and Review

Heya Guys!

Recently I made my first I Love Nail Polish purchase! if you follow me on instagram, where I don't fail and have been making regular updates, then you know about this already. If you don't, well you should be, since I am much more frequent there! :P Either way, I recently bought a few colours, and today I will be showing off Cygnus Loop Holo.

As you can see, there are many, many faces to this polish, Depending on the light, it almost looks like a totally different polish! My light box had a bit of trouble picking up the holo, and since it is February, there wasn't any sun to be had while I wore this, but trust me, the holo is there and much stronger in person.

I wore this for 3 days and there was no chips, and only slight tip wear when I took it off, so it wore really well, since I am pretty hard on my hands, this is also worn alone, not over a black polish, and only 2 thin coats, so it is a fairly opaque polish. I think it is safe to say, that I finally get all the hype surrounding the ILNP brand, and will almost certainly be picking more up in the future.

Anyway, Happy Tuesday Guys!! Again, I know I have been absent here, I really have no good excuse, just life got in the way, but I am hoping to start posting here frequently again, but if all else fails, you can find me on instagram as I am very frequent there! till next time Kittens! :D
