Colors By Llarowe It's Shocking! That A Girly Bits Stripper Has Been Sleeping in my Bed!

Afternoon Guys!

I hope everyone is having a good week!  My week so far has been pretty amazing. Like I mentioned last Friday, my favourite person in the whole wide world is here right now, so it has made for a pretty awesome sauce week!

I couldn't stand to let a whole week pass with no post, so I managed to throw this together! Since, I am pretty short on time though, I will make this quick, so let's get right to it today!

This pretty lovely is Colors By Llarowe It's Shocking. I believe it came out this past December. It is classified as a scattered holographic polish, but honestly, it is so tightly packed, It looks linear. It is on the softer side of holo, especially with how intense CBL holo's normally are, but where it lacks intense holo, it seriously makes up for it, in gorgeous eye searing, hot pink. It was like most CBL polishes in being a 1 coater, however in my pictures I did 2 out of habit. I am pretty sure you could stamp well with this polish, something I will have to try soon.  It is a tad on the thick side, but I have come to expect that from CBL polishes, and it is nothing that makes it hard to work with at all.

I paired this with the stunning sparkly, awesome, Girly Bits A Stripper Has Been Sleeping in My Bed. This polish, just, wow...I SO wish it had photographed in all it's sparkly glory, I tried everything, even trekking around in my yard, and snapping sunshine pictures, and nothing, not a single image even came close to showing off just how sparkly this polish is.  You will just have to take my word for it. It is sparkly. Seriously, insanely, out of this world, sparkly!

The chevrons, as always, were done with Nail Vinyls, which I am not even sure I still need to mention, since I do chevrons so often! :P It is all topped off with HK Girl,  Oh! and one thing to mention here, to smooth out the glitter polish, I used a coat of Poshe Fast Drying Base Coat, over the polish before I top coated. I know some people use Gelous, but honestly, I don't much care for the thickness that polish gives, I read somewhere on the interwebs, about Poshe working just as well, without the thickness, so I recently picked up a bottle and tried it out. I am very happy to say, it did work just as well, and without the thickness. If you are in the same boat I was, I highly recommend, trying out Poshe.

Alright guys and gals, I have stayed longer then I should! The curse of someone who rambles as much as I do! :P Till next time Kittens! <3

Essie Play Date is Disarmed and Dangerous!

Morning Guys!!

I am actually writing this in the middle of the night, 2:53 am to be exact!, however this won't go up till tomorrow morning, so it is morning by the time you are all seeing this. I have been a bit busy the past week,  which is why it has been a quiet around here, but I did manage to snap a few shots of how I recently wore Essie Play Date.

I adore this purple, it is such a fun, squishy looking purple. As you can see, I paired this with a third attempt at a  water marble. I am really proud of how my water marble skills are coming along. Maybe soon, I will be brave enough to do a whole mani outta them, and not just an accent nail! The polishes  used for the water marble are Essie Tart Deco (which I will state yet again I love, love, love) Zoya Micky and Essie Play Date. I topped it off with a bit of China Glaze Fairy Dust, to add some sparkle, cause honestly, who doesn't love sparkle?

To add a bit more interest to this look, I also added a glitter gradient on my pinky. The glitter I used was Disarmed and Dangerous by Loaded Lacquer. I really love this glitter, not only is it super unique to my collection and gorgeous, it is also awesome to work with.  I had no trouble getting a good amount of glitter on the brush, which made for a super easy glitter gradient.  I will add here, that for some reason, my pinky and my camera did not get along, and it actually looks like a different base colour, it is not. I used a base of Essie Play Date there as well, but for some reason my camera refused to photo it properly. I guess this glitter was to much awesome sauce goodness for it to handle! :P

Alright guys and gals, it is after 3:00 am now, so I really should be getting to bed. I have an early day tomorrow, but my favourite person in the whole wide world is flying in tomorrow morning, so it will totally be worth no sleep!  This is also where I get to add how awesome all of you guys are, and how you will totally forgive me if I am not around much the next week!! I know, this week, now the next!! However, for your awesome patience with my hectic schedule, I have an offering of cookies!! Things will be back to normal after this week I promise!  Till next time Kittens! <3

The Stunning Colors By Llarowe Deanna It's Blue!

Hey Guys!

I managed to squeeze in another post this week, and I am pretty happy about that, since I wasn't sure I was going to be able too, but of course I couldn't stay away! :P Tonight I have the gorgeous Colors By Llarowe Deanna It's Blue to show you all.  This polish is so deep and rich, and mysterious. It is a deep midnight blue holo, and let me tell you up front, it is a serious stunner.

Have I mentioned before, how much I love Colors By Llarowe polishes?!!! I am almost certain I have, but just to make sure...I love CBL! I am seriously addicted to all things CBL, and I have this need to own all the CBL polishes.

To get this look, I applied 2 coats of Colors By Llarowe Deanna It's Blue on my pointer, thumb, and pinky and 2 coats of Totes by piCture pOlish on my middle and ring fingers.  Deanna It's Blue is certainly opaque enough to only need 1 coat, I simply did 2 out of habit. Once that was dry, I stamped using a MoYou London  plate, I want to say it was from the princess collection, but I fail, and honestly can't remember!! Sorry!! I stamped using Deanna's It Blue. Then I top coated using my faithful HK Girl top coat, and I was done!

Now, Let's talk a bit about the polish. Deanna It's Blue, is stunning, almost mesmerizing in it's beauty. Honestly, I don't go much for blue holo's but this, is just..uhh..there are no words. It is a tad on the thick side, but nothing that made it  hard to work with, and if thicker polishes aren't your cup of tea, you can always add a few drops of thinner.  I can't comment on wear time, since I just did these today, but I will be wearing this  most of the weekend, so I will likely come back and edit this later. If you don't have this polish, you should certainly get your hands on this. It was recently retired, but there is some still available at Harlow and Co. and they ship worldwide too!

Alright guys and gals, I think I will leave off here, Wish me luck tomorrow, as I am doing the bridal party nails for a friend's wedding, and I can freely admit, since this is so many people, and such an important event I am a tad nervous! Has anyone else done any nails for friend's for big events?? Do you own this polish?? Do you love it?? Let me know!  I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Serum No5 Atomic Peach with some MoYou London Stamping!

Evening Guys!!

It is late, and this almost didn't get done, but I managed to get this out, so yay! small victory! It is  pretty busy for me this week. I am doing a friends nails for her wedding  (including the wedding party) and I also have another friend from out of town, staying with me for a couple of days before that, so things to say the least are hectic!

I will get right to it today, since as you can guess, I am a bit pressed for time, tonight's mani is featuring a gorgeous pastel orange shade, that is just stunning, and if that wasn't awesome enough it glows in the dark!  This is how I wore Serum No5 Atomic Peach.

And of course, this wouldn't be complete without a glow shot!! I apologize in advance for my less then stellar GITD image, this was my first time photographing a GITD polish, and it was definitely a learning experience!

serum-no-5-atomic-peach-swatch-moyou-london-stamping

I think this turned out really neat! I really like how the roses stand out in the dark, and they look super elegant in the light. I also love the shimmer in Atomic Peach, it is super subtle, and really pretty. I am pretty sure the shimmer comes from the glow pigments, but I could be mistaken on that. Either way, it makes it such a gorgeous shade. It is a tad on the sheer side, I used 3 coats to reach opacity, however, if I had shorter nails, or wasn't taking such up close pictures of my finished mani, 2 probably would have be fine.

For this look, I used Serum No5 Atomic peach as my base, once that was dry, I stamped using  MoYou London Princess Plate 12 in piCture pOlish Swagger. I figured Swagger would be perfect to stamp with, and I was right. The studs are from Born Pretty Store. This was a pretty easy look to get, which is great for me this week, since I am a little short on time.

I don't have a large collection of GITD shades, I think only 3-4 at most, but every time I wear them, I have such fun with them, that it certainly makes me question why I don't have more. Do any of you have any awesome GITD polishes? Do you wear them often? Or are they "Halloween only" polishes? Let me know in the comments!

I think that mostly covers it this evening. I will put out a small note here. I am  hoping, and hoping is the key word here, to get another post out before the end of the week, however, with my insane week, I can't make any promises. Unfortunately, I am not good at stock piling posts, so I don't have to much to work with in my drafts...sorry!! but I will sincerely try to get something out before the weekend,  and if not, I will have something this weekend I am sure. Alright, till next time Kittens! <3

China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy Chevron Nail Art

Evening Guys!!

It has been really warm here, I mean really warm and humid, and very summer like, which of course led to this evenings mani. With the humid weather, I almost had no control, when I pulled out Flip Flop Fantasy, and Highlight of my Summer, and put them on my nails. These two polishes are some of my favourite neon shades, and every time I wear them I fall in love all over again.

Let's start with, I have  read over and over again how hard it is to photograph neon's, heard it repeated again  and again, how it makes your camera freak the f*ck out, but honestly, I didn't think it was that bad, I assumed it made it a little difficult, or that the colour would be a smidge off...Yeah, I was wrong, it made my camera go f*cking insane. I am still pleased with these images, despite some picture taking fail in terms of colour, and the weird freak out Highlight of my Summer had on camera,  I still think that they came out fairly decent. I just wanted to warn you all, that 1) neon's are a biotch to photograph, and 2) I hope you can forgive any minor imperfections, since I haven't really done much fightingwith  photographing of neon's. Alright back to the important things!

This was a pretty simple look, as I stated a couple of weeks ago, I am pretty certain chevrons are becoming my go-to thing on my nails, and I can honestly say I am totally okay with that, cause honestly, who doesn't love a good chevron!?

To get this look, I started with a base of  China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy on my thumb, pointer, middle, and pinky, and a base of China Glaze Highlight of my Summer on my ring finger, once that was dry, I used nail vinyls on my ring finger and painted Flip Flop Fantasy over it.   The studs are from Born Pretty Store.  Like I said, easy peasy!

I am so glad the warmer and more humid weather is finally starting to make an appearance here in Canadaland. Summer is my favourite season, and not only for the heat and the sun, but also cause I  adore summer polishes. I have a huge list already building in my head of the summer colours I want to put on, and so this nice weather better stick around.

Alright, guys and gals I think that covers it all for one evening.  Have a great weekend, and don't forget, when in doubt, chevron mani! Till next time Kittens! <3

The Boyfriend Picked: Cult Nails You're My Dandy Lion

Evening all!

I was hoping to get this up a bit earlier today, but the day got away from me! Anyway, tonight I have for you a mani that the boyfriend picked out. I was a bit stuck on ideas, so I asked him for some inspiration. After some  talk about colours, and designs, this was the end result!

I had a ton of fun doing this with him, I really love when I can share my obsession hobby with him, and he seemed to have a lot of fun too. He got into picking out colours, and stamped designs for me, plus when I was done and showed it off to him, he seemed to get more excited then he normally does. I actually was a bit on the fence about this, when I first finished, but his enthusiasm for how it looked rubbed off on me, and now I can't help but love the way this turned out.

To get this look, I started with a base of Cult Nails You're My Dandy Lion, which is a super gorgeous streak free yellow, with the softest shimmer in it. Once that was dry, I did the saran wrap technique, using Zoya Josie, and Sally Hansen Green with Envy. I prefer to paint the saran wrap, instead of my nails. I find it gives me more control over where the polish goes, but I do know you can also paint your nail and remove the polish with a balled piece of saran wrap too. At this point I threw on a coat of HKGirl Top Coat, then I stamped with an unnamed Color Club polish that I found at Winners, using MoYou London Sailor Plate 07, and that was it!

Even though, I had some hesitation about this look when I first finished, it is really growing on me, and I love even more that the boyfriend was the mastermind behind this look! Do you ever let someone else pick out your manis? I definitely know him and I will have to do this again! Till next time Kittens! < 3

It is Finally Colors By Llarowe Tank Tops and Flip Flops Weather!

Hey Guys!

Happy Friday! Oh, and of course Happy May! Today I have for you, a holo gradient, with some MoYou London Stamping. I used 2 Colors By Llarowe polishes, and a Cirque Colors polish for this look. I really wish I had remembered to snap a picture of this gradient, before I stamped over it, but alas, I forgot (sorry).

Low Lighting,  still so gorgeous!

As always, I want to start off by saying, my light box didn't do the holo on this justice! It is much stronger in person.  I was hoping to nab some outdoor shots, but it has been nothing but rainy and overcast the past few days, so such is life. I also wanna say sorry for the picture spam, I just love this so much, that I ended up with way too many pictures, and this was as much as I could narrow it down!

For this look, I started off with a base of Cult Nails Tempest.  I then sponged on, in a diagonal line from left to right. Colors By Llarowe Tank Tops and Flip Flops, Cirque Colors Sky Woman, and Colors By Llarowe Lucy I'm Home. Lucy I'm Home came out a lot more pink, then coral, when sponged on this way, but I can't say that I mind at all really, since it looks really pretty in this gradient. I waited for my nails to fully dry,  I did not use top coat here, since I didn't want to use to much, and dull the holo effect,  once it was dry, I stamped over the gradient with MoYou London Pro Plate 10, in Cult Nails Nevermore on my middle and ring finger. I used Nail Vinyls on my pointer, pinky, and thumb and did the tips in Nevermore as well.  Then I top coated, and voila gorgeous mani!

This came out even better, then I thought it would, and I couldn't be more pleased with the end result. I really love that the blue glitters in Sky Woman really show up in this mani, and that the colours blended so well, that it almost has the look of a duo-chrome, since depending on the light, and the angle of my hand, the colours seem to almost shift.

I think this is the perfect mani, to bring in May. Holographic, flowers, and bright! I honestly, can't believe it is  here already,  not that I am not ready for the warmer temperatures, it is just that it feels like it was just March, and now  bam! May is here, however, being sick with a nasty sinus infection for most of April, may have added to my shock of it! :P  Has anyone else got the holo bug that I seem to have lately? I think it was the long winter, and the promise of summer on the horizon that has me wanting all the holos!

I think that mostly covers it for today guys and gals. I hope everyone has a great weekend, and of course great weekend mani's! Till next time Kittens! <3
