OPI: You are so Outta Lime and so Into Summer!

Heya Guys!

It is officially summer! It has been warm around here for a few weeks now, but to know it is official is still kinda exciting! One of the things I love most about summer is the flowers.  They are in full bloom, just bursting with life, and wonderful flowery scents. All that flower awesome is what inspired today's nails.

To get this look I started with a base of OPI You Are So Outta Lime. It is a "neon" from their new neon summer line. I say "neon" cause it isn't really a neon. It is an incredibly pretty lime green polish, but neon it is not. However, if you are looking for a unique, bright lime green polish, this could be it. It applied nicely, especially since it is considered a neon. Once that was dry, I stamped using Pueen plate 72 from the buffet stamping set. I used the same plate for all 3 images, just picked different parts of the plate each time. I stamped in Mundo De Unas  Yellow 11,  Orchid 55, and  Blue 4. The studs are from Born Pretty Store. I then topped coated everything with HK Girl.

This was the first time I have stamped on the same nail more than once, and I couldn't be happier with the results. This is certainly something I will be doing again. I really love the jungle feel of this, and the bright colours go so well together, and although the green isn't neon at all, it is bright and oh so pretty!

Alright guys and gals I think that covers it for today. I think I am off to lay poolside today! I hope everyone has an awesome sauce weekend.  Till next time kittens! <3

#RedCoatTuesday Zoya Pepper is Naughty and Nice!

Afternoon Guys!

I am a bit late on posting today, my morning was a bit hectic. It is Tuesday, and that means Pretty Little Liars day!  This week's #RedCoatTuesday mani is featuring the oh so lovely Pepper by Zoya. It is a deep, brick red, that has the perfect sultry vibe to it for a PLL mani.

To get this look, I started with a base of Zoya Pepper. I did 2 coats. It was almost fully opaque in 1 coat, but I did 2 since I had the smallest amount of VNL when in the light. I then used a dotting tool, and Cult Nails Tempest to place dots on my ring finger. I then top coated everything off with HK Girl, and when it was still tacky, took the rhinestone bow and placed a small dab of nail glue on the back, and placed it on the nail.

This is my first time wearing something so 3D on the nail.  I love the look of it, but to be honest, it feels a bit awkward. I find myself constantly catching it on things, and always wanting to touch it. I certainly think that the bows would be great for a night out, but I am not sure it is good for every day use. Even so, I still really love how this came out. I think the red gives it a very sexy vibe, while the polka dots and bows, give it a bit of an innocence. A very naughty nice mani! I am not sure how long I will keep this on, since the bow is a bit in the way, but I do love the look of it, so will enjoy it while I have it on!

Alright guys and gals, I think that mostly covers it for today. How do you guys feel about 3D deocrations for the nail? Yay? or Nay? Let me know! Till next time kittens! <3

Models Own Shades: The Perfect Summer Neon

Heya Guys!!

I have really been feeling neon's lately. I love the loud pop of colour  it gives on my nails, it just screams summer to me. So, of course, when Models Own released their Polish For Tans collection, I had to pick up a few of my favourites. These are actually my first Models Own polishes ever, and I couldn't be more pleased with them, I will certainly be adding more to my collection in the future.

The polish I am showing off today is Shades. It is described as a pastel pink neon polish. I would say it leans a bit more coral then pink, but it is certainly the pink side of coral.  This entire collection actually is described as pastel, since there is white mixed in with the neon giving them a softer more pastel look then your average neon, but don't confuse that with dull. These pretties are anything but! They still pack a giant neon punch!

Shades actually reminds me a bit of the original Flip Flop Fantasy by China Glaze, I don't have the original sadly, so I can't compare the two in person, but from what I have seen from images, they seem to share a few qualities, so if you're like me and fell in love with the original, but you never got your hands on it, this might help squash that lemming.  This is two coats, without white undies,  so it is a fairly opaque polish for a neon. It is a rather thick polish, that makes it a tad tricky to work with, so I advise patience when applying. I found slightly thicker coats was much easier to do then thinner ones. It's dry time also isn't like a typical neon, it has a much slower dry time, likely due to the mixed in white polish but the end result in having to put in a bit of extra work applying it, is so worth it since it is such a gorgeous polish. Not to mention it makes pale me look tan, which is just perfect for summer.

To get this look, I applied Shades on my pointer, pinky and thumb (not shown) Cult Nails Tempest on my middle finger and OPI Crown Me Already on my ring finger. I used straight Nail Vinyls on my middle finger, and painted in Shades over the white. I then placed the heart stud, and top coated everything in HK Girl. The heart studs came in a wheel, of assorted shapes from Winstonia.  I actually tried drawing my heart first with polish, but my freehand skills are still very much in the learning stage, so after  a few attempts I cheated and used these! :P

I really love how fun and summery this look is. I certainly think I will be doing this again with other colours in the near future! What is on everyone's nails this week!? Are you in full summer nails with neon's too!? Let me know in the comments! Till next time Kittens! <3

#RedCoatTuesday: Got a Secret About Colors By Llarowe: The Mighty Red Baron.

Heya Guys!

Recently, I found about this really awesome link up that some people in one of my facebook groups was doing. It is called #RedCoatTuesday and it is Pretty Little Liars themed. PLL is one of my favourite guilty pleasure shows, so when I saw this, I knew I had to join in! Basically, every Tuesday (which is the night that PLL airs)  we will all be posting red mani's, red lips, or a red shadow design for #RedCoatTuesday.  I am super excited to be a part of this, and really looking forward to some experimenting with red polish, since red is a colour I don't wear often enough.

The red I chose this week, was Colors By Llarowe The Mighty Red Baron. It is a beyond words gorgeous red holo, with tons of red glass flecks that make it almost glow from within the polish. As you can see in my photos above, the  red shimmer/glitter glass fleck effect on this polish is anything but shy. In fact, it is so glowy, that getting  a good shot of this was almost impossible. I think I managed alright in the end, but wow! was this hard to photograph! I mean really, really a huge pain in the ass! lol however, the other side to that coin is that the same glass fleck that makes it impossible to photograph, is also what makes it so stunning, so unique.  I truly have nothing at all like it in my collection. It is a tad on the thicker side as I have come to expect from CBL's but nothing that is hard to work with.  I decided to add a bit of stamping to this look since PLL and secrets go hand in hand, and what says secrets better then lips!  I stamped using a Bundle Monster Plate BM-002  and stamped in a pink unnamed Color Club polish.  The lips turned out subtle, but I kind of like that they let the red polish steal the show, since it has enough sparkle and glow to really take centre stage.

Overall I am really  pleased with how my first #RedCoatTuesday mani turned out, even if trying to capture this on camera almost made me cry ! :P I think they are perfect for the season premiere of Pretty Little Liars tonight! Is anyone else a huge PLL fan? Are you as excited for the new season as I am?? Let me know! Till next time Kittens! <3

Zoya Chantal All Dressed Up in Lace

Heya Guys!!

If you are borderline obsessed with all things MoYou London, like I am, then you probably heard that they recently released a bridal collection of plates.  I of course, had no self control, and had to get the lace plate.  I mean seriously though, lace!? Who can turn down lace!? It arrived  about a week ago, but since my favourite person was here, I just recently got a chance to play.

To get this look I started with a base of Zoya Chantal, which is a gorgeous creamy beige, that is opaque in two coats. The application is amazing, I mean really amazing, and Chantal isn't streaky at all. This is going to get used a lot as a base in nail art, or worn just because I am swooning over how awesome it is!

Once my base was dry, I put the dots on with a dotting tool, using Cult Nails Tempest. These dots are also on my thumb. (not shown)  The rest was stamped with MoYou London Bridal Plate 07, which currently at the time of writing this is sold out, but MoYou London seems to be pretty quick with their restocks, so it shouldn't be out of stock to long.  I would recommend watching their facebook  for info, if you are interested in this plate.   I stamped the lace  using Konad White.  I finished this off with HK Girl top coat, and viola, super girly, elegant lace nails!

When I first started this, I wasn't sure the polka dots would work, but once it was all on my nails it really seemed to go perfectly together, and I couldn't be happier about the outcome.  I love colours, and glitters, and sparklies, but sometimes, a soft, uber girly palette cleanser like this is needed.

Alright guys and gals, I think that pretty much covers it for today. I know lace has been almost everywhere lately, and I would say sorry for making you look at more lace, but honestly, who gets sick of lace nails!? :P Have any of you jumped on the lace bandwagon?? Are you as in love with the lace look as I am?? Let me know! Till next time Kittens!! <33

piCture pOlish Badass is so Badass!

Evening All!!

Tonight I have the incredibly stunningly gorgeous piCture pOlish Badass. It is a collab shade with Sassy Shelly, from earlier this year. It a Bijou holo polish, and incredibly unique in my collection.

This polish had previously been sitting in my untried's pile, and honestly, now that it is on my nails, I don't understand why I waited so long to wear it.  It has this depth to it, that has you spending a lot of your time looking at your nails, trying to catch different angles in the light. I really love the purple and blue micro glitters. They give this polish so much depth, and at certain angles, sometimes it even looks as if there are gold and green glitters in there.  It is also super opaque and I bet great for stamping. It was opaque at 1 coat, but I did a second out of habit. It is a bit thicker then other PP shades, but I am assuming that is because of all the gorgeous micro glitter, and it still applies great.

I paired this with another one of my untried polishes, Indigo Bananas Wise Up Janet! It is a purple foil finish, with a linear holo. It is a bit sheer, on the first coat, but it builds up beautifully. I used 3 coats, in my pictures. It such an original colour in my collection, and I love that it not only has the holo awesome in the sun, but it also has a gorgeous foil effect indoors.

To get this look, I stamped over Wise Up Janet using Cult Nails Nevermore, with MoYou London Hipster Plate 07. The studs are from a random eBay seller, that I picked up in a wheel with a bunch of different colours forever ago. It is all top coated with my fav top coat HK Girl. I really love how this looks. I adore the adorable little sparrows, and I think that Badass and Wise Up Janet go perfectly with each other. Especially in person, where the blue and purple micro glitter in Badass is a bit more apparent.

I think that covers it for one evening. I missed you guys this past week, although I had an amazing time with my favourite person, so it was worth the trade! :P We had a great time, and did some amazing things, and ate some even more amazing food. I know this isn't nail related, but if anyone is looking for an amazing recipe I highly recommend you check out these You won't regret it! Actually everything I have tried on that site has been amazing, so if you are in the market for awesome recipes, in genius comic form then that link will serve you well.
